Patch’s TreeHouse sits two minutes south of our land, is a small group retreat home we are activating for bespoke, curated, and customized mindful nature getaways. The 8-sided home with a glass oculus skylight to the stars is within a tiny forest, waterlilly waterfall pond, an alfresco dining cabana, yoga pavilion, and octagonal fire ceremony circle. The resident host is our Chief Experience Officer, Suzanne Jewell, along with her two kitties, Sheba and SnowBunny. Guests stay in this shared space and are intended to invest in their mindfulness and contemplation journey as part of the stay, with one-on-one teaching and guidance from Suzanne. The home sleeps a maximum of 7, has two queen beds, one full, and a twin trundle bed. Located one block from the Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple, a field trip there and a behind-the-scenes private Patch of Heaven Sanctuary excursion are often part of the mindful nature getaway experience. There are no alcohol or other consciousness-altering substances allowed. Disconnecting from your normal daily routine is the focus and reconnecting to the natural rhythms of the countryside is the purpose, in addition to touching inward to one’s own inner lamp of goodness and kindness.
